Break is as subjective as it is also significant, and carries a different meaning in different circumstances.
"I need a break." says someone who is tired of being stuck in the same position for a period of time. One who have been in that same hierarchy at workplace for too long, an emerging artist who got bored of just making small local shows, or a cyclist/runner who are trying to escape the peloton/front pack in a competition.
"I need a break." is also something that someone who had enough of everything favorable said. When he/she is tired and stressed being on top of the corporate ladder for too long, a superstar who thought he had enough of limelight and showbiz attention, or a seasoned athlete who have devoted all his time winning all the competitions.
Both usage of the word means 'to escape'. But what they're escaping from totally contradict each other.
We all will wish for a break, and for another, then another. Because we are hard to satisfy tbh.
No I will not make that kit-kat relation with having a break. It can be anything, nasik arab ke..satay ke..bbq ke..why something sweet and not very nutricious macam kitkat entahlah. Wakaka.
Break a leg everybody! Thanks for stopping by you're alright.
